Description
The Old Barn is a charming self-catering hideaway located in Koringberg, in the heart of the Swartland. The Old Barn is set on the main road, right next door to the Marrian George hotel. The Old Barn was previously a much-loved restaurant at the entrance to the village and the sun room was the original bar.
This beautifully styled house is a gorgeous light-filled space with high ceilings, concrete floors and a central fireplace for those winter months. The house can accommodate up to 8 guests and contains 4 bedrooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first and second bedrooms each contain a queen-size bed and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The third bedroom contains a double bed and the fourth bedroom contains 2 single beds.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes a fridge-freezer, a gas stove and electric oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, and a Nespresso machine. The dining area contains an 8-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge offers comfortable seating, a fireplace, and plenty of books. The sun room has a wood-burning oven for warmth.
Outside, there are seating and braai facilities. Guests can take a dip in the inviting plunge pool before retreating inside in search of a good book. Well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
