Description
Tucked away on the banks of the mighty Orange River, just below the iconic Augrabies Falls, lies a hidden gem for nature lovers and adventure seekers. This exclusively accessed 37-hectare private nature conservancy offers a serene escape into the wild, where the river's rhythm and untouched landscapes create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable outdoor experience.
The campsite is divided into three sections: Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie. Each site features its own lapa with river views and direct river access, along with newly built private ablutions fitted with gas-heated water. Each site can accommodate groups of up to eight people and 3–4 vehicles.
The Rock is designed for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts seeking a true escape from city life.
Canoes are available for exploring 9 km of pristine river canyon. Guests can also enjoy hiking or mountain biking on the property while keeping an eye out for resident klipspringers, fish eagles, dassies, and other wildlife.
A high-clearance vehicle is required to access the property, preferably a 4x4. No electricity is provided, thus guests must ensure to bring along wood to enjoy a crackling fire underneath the lapa.
There is simply no other campsite like this. Its uniqueness and breathtaking natural beauty must be experienced to be truly understood.
