We had the most incredible stay at Porcupine! The setting is absolutely beautiful and we had both giraffes and zebras right outside the doorstep as we arrived. The newly built lodge is stunning, with every detail perfectly thought out and beautifully finished. The bed was so comfortable, and we loved the Kolkol — such a lovely touch! Our host was amazing and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. All the small details really made it special. After two wonderful days, we left feeling completely relaxed and recharged. Highly recommend Porcupine to anyone looking for a luxurious, peaceful escape in nature. The best part of it all was that it's so close to Cape Town. We will be back!

Relaxing, nourishing, luxurious living in nature. We had a wonderful stay at Porcupine House. Langton warmly welcomed us on arrival and had already prepared the hot tub — we were able to slip straight in and start relaxing. The house is incredibly comfortable, tastefully decorated, and fully equipped with everything a family might need. One of the highlights was a daily soak in the bath with sweeping views of the salt pan — we loved watching springbok, rabbits, and a variety of birds gathering just beyond the house. Falling asleep to the sounds of the bush and waking to gentle birdsong left us feeling completely restored. Best of all, it's just an hour’s drive from Cape Town, making it a very manageable and refreshing getaway for a family with two young kids. We’ll be back!

Hidden gem - pure bliss! We are a group of five — 2 kids and 3 adults — from Cape Town, always on the lookout for new adventures and amazing places to stay with our children. This accommodation exceeded all our expectations! We had the whole place to ourselves, and you could add more people, plenty of space! From the warm and helpful service provided by the staff to the smooth booking and check-in process, everything was effortless and welcoming. The place itself is brand new, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. It’s fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. We also went on a game drive — they’ve recently introduced new game animals — and it was a fantastic experience. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable, the guide was very knowledgeable. There were plenty of stunning photo opportunities along the way. The kids, and our visiting German family, absolutely loved it! Our advice: book a game drive. We are already planning our second trip back here with more friends. It is a great weekend away from Cape Town. We recommend it!

The wildlife and scenery were absolutely breathtaking — every view felt like it belonged on a postcard. Our stay was warm, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel so special. Our highlight was most definitely the beautiful, private hot tub outside — soaking under the stars while listening to the music of nature. We loved the selection of fynbos herbs and tea, which made every moment feel even more relaxing. The fynbos care products used throughout the house were an absolute treat — so fragrant and nourishing. We had an amazing game drive experience with our guide, who not only connects so well with nature, but shared so much of his own culture with us. This is a place where you can truly switch off, slow down, and reconnect with yourself and nature in luxurious comfort and privacy. It’s not only the perfect couples retreat, but also amazing to share with family and friends. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming of our next visit.
