Description

The Sparrow's Nest has a magnificent 180-degree unobstructed view of the ocean located in Jeffrey’s Bay, an area best known for its scenic routes, beaches, surfing, sandboarding and nature reserves. Guests can wake up to stunning sunrises and fall asleep to the sound of waves breaking on the shore.

The accommodation consists of a cosy lounge area, a small fully-equipped kitchenette, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom with a double shower and washing machine. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. The lounge and main bedroom have sliding doors leading onto a patio which has a built-in braai. The outside shower is around the corner from the patio. There is also a Weber braai available.

The kitchenette is equipped with a large fridge-freezer, microwave, countertop 2-plate oven with stove as well as tea-and-coffee-making facilities. The flat-screen TV has independent DStv channels and there is free Wi-Fi. A clothesline for drying clothes, an ironing board, an iron and a hairdryer are also available. In the case of load shedding there is an inverter for lights and TV.

The property is situated 5km from the town, in a safe and secure neighbourhood and there is 1 parking bay in front of the cottage, behind automated gates. Additional parking is available on the street. Please note: the driveway is fairly steep, so when driving in & exiting, its best to drive up the gentler slope which is on the right-hand side of the house as you approach the house (sea is on the left)

The pristine beach is just steps away where you may see dolphins, whales, and the odd seal. We also see the odd buck, tortoise, mongoose in the conservation area). There is a park around the corner and a lagoon in which children can splash around and where pink Flamingos are often seen. Nearby, you can enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the canals at Marina Martinique which has a bistro available for meals. There are 2 restaurants on the beach, 1km from the cottage and another bistro 1km away, near the lagoon.

Also nearby you can enjoy fishing, cycling, kite surfing, sand boarding, hiking in nature reserves, gym, bowls, golf, tennis, horse riding, deep sea fishing, sky diving and more.
