It was another very nice visit to the mountains. The mountains are always breathtaking. The view is incredible. We had a great time relaxing here, there is a fireplace too. The host welcomed us kindly. The cottage is clean and fully equipped.

Very brief but good stay. The cottage was lovely. However, the roads in the Drakensberg are shocking. Potholes and in places completely eroded. We have tourists coming to visit and the state of the roads is terrible. The Drakensberg is beautiful, but to drive around is really challenging.

Just to let you know that things are looking up, and we have a contractor moving in to resurface the D184 which comes to Treks, Trips and Tails. Also, we as residents in the area are getting together, buying material and fixing potholes ourselves, so certainly there will be a huge improvement to the roads in the Champagne Valley.
