Perfect, wish I'd stayed longer. Cannot rate it highly enough. I have camped in numerous places over the years and this was probably my best camping experience ever. I had my own secluded site "Rock Pigeon" at least 500m from the main lodge, under a huge tree with its own shower/basin built into the riverbank and a separate ablution. Great big braai/tiled table area. A staff member appeared from the bushes to light three candles in the evening. The lodge itself is something between a museum and an outdoor art gallery with fantastic quirky sculptures welded from repurposed steel items. Where do you get all that for this price? The restaurant was great too. I'm glad I stayed here rather than at another location in spite of the extra driving it entailed.

It was good for the soul! We were very impressed with the Lodge and our arrival. The lady went out of her way to help us. We camped and it was absolutely wow! I would definitely stay here again! Facilities were clean and everything worked.

Beautiful well thought out campsite. We should have stayed longer. We arrived with a flat tyre, and Johan and his employees got straight down to sorting it out. He insisted we not worry about it at all, and he absolutely made sure it didn't sour our camping. The campsite was a 10/10 with a lovely toilet/shower and outside kitchen. The campsite is set away from reception, and it is quiet and peaceful. The campsites don't share ablutions with other campers, other than those of your own party. Privacy is respected, and wait for sunset and the candle man.
