Well worth the money for a weekend away with a spouse/partner. Absolutely enjoyed the quiet and tranquil location even with rainy weather all weekend. We truly can recommend Uilhuijs as a place to relax and get away from it all.

Magnificent winter stay in cozy cabin. Fabulous stay in this beautiful cottage. Everything was spotless. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a view to die for. We were spoiled with rusks, fruit and snacks. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. There is so much to do in the beautiful Elgin Valley; we will definitely be back.

Tranquil escape, comfortable stay, scenic surroundings, ideal base for exploring. We had the most wonderful stay at the Uilhuijs. Truly a hidden gem tucked away among the apple orchards. Its central location makes it the perfect base for exploring all the surrounding areas, from wine farms to nature reserves. The cottage itself is beautifully designed and set in such a peaceful and unique environment. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into every detail, from the stylish decor to the fully equipped kitchen that made self-catering a breeze. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. What really stood out were the personal touches from the hosts, who were incredibly hospitable. We were welcomed with complimentary snacks and fresh fruit – such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay feel extra special. If you're looking for a tranquil escape with all the comforts and charm of a thoughtfully curated getaway, the Uilhuijs is not to be missed. Highly recommended!

Heerlike rustige atmosfeer. Pragtige huislike cottage met alles wat mens nodig het. Baie mooi en smaakvol gedecoreer, met 'n lieflike uitsig oor die vallei vanaf 'n lekker kuierstoep.

Rustige, veilige, cozy ondervinding. Ja, absoluut fantasties. Hierdie plek is 'n weggesteekte juweel. Sal beslis weer gaan kuier.

Cozy, elegant, relaxing. We had the perfect winter getaway at Uilhuijs. The house is tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable and cozy, and the indoor fireplace kept the chill at bay. Leanne is a wonderful host. We're already looking forward to our next stay at Uilhuijs.

Tucked away within the trees, a gem of a find. Came across Uilhuijs while looking for alternative accommodation and what a find it was. A hidden away huijs in the apple orchard valley with everything you need to switch off and relax, including no cell reception but WiFi is available. The host was very friendly, the house was stacked with coffee, tea, rusks, farm apples and even Easter eggs.

Beautiful relaxing stay in the middle of a forest and apple orchard. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The views from the veranda were stunning and so peaceful. The hosts allowed us to check out after 10am. Loved the small touches of chocolates, nectarines and lemons left for us.

Ontspannend, met mooiste uitsig. Bitter mooi. Baie lekker gerus.
