Blissful and tranquil. Relaxing blissful place! We all enjoyed the outside area looking out to the water! Highly recommend!

Enjoyable, relaxing, tranquil and serene. It was amazing. The location is perfect. There is so much space. The entertainment area is available and accommodating. The pool area is perfect, and there are many seating options available. A new stove and braai were installed. We enjoyed the fishing option as the dam is so close. Although we were a large number, we never ran out of hot water.

Needed a good refurb. Was not excellent, a little bit disappointed in the maintenance of the property. Jacuzzi didn't work, TV (DStv) didn't work, stove did not work, and the oven packed up halfway through on the last day. There was no hot water. The braai area was not in working order because it was gas and not wood. The two small wooden braais were slightly broken, and some of the cushions were torn around the pool area. The pools were lacking maintenance, needed painting, and did not look good.

Weekend away with disappointment. The views of the Vaal Dam are nice, the property not so much. There are many rooms in the house and a nice games room. The beds were not that comfortable, the braai gas was not working, and the pool and jacuzzi could not be used as well. The bonfire area was uncomfortable. They have a Weber to braai, which makes it difficult for a crowd. The property is not well maintained.

Never again. If you want to book, you better read this first. When I looked at this place, there were some major complaints, and after I enquired about it, I was assured that it was all sorted. The day before we were to arrive, I happened to check the booking details and found another two reviews on the website. A whole lot of complaints were listed again. I contacted the website and voiced my concerns. The complaints listed were: the jacuzzi didn't work, the TV (DStv) didn't work, the stove did not work, and the oven packed up halfway through on the last day. There was no hot water, and the beds were not that comfortable. They promised to phone the owner, and he assured them that everything was sorted out. I stated that if he said things were sorted out and then just two months later the same sort of complaints were raised, why must I believe him now? The website then promised that if we were not happy when we got there, they would accommodate us somewhere else. We arrived at 2:30, and the lady was still busy covering beds, etc. They were still waiting for the gas for the braai to arrive. On investigation, we found that the TV had not worked for quite some time, as well as the DStv. Being a big rugby weekend, it was a big concern. The jacuzzi did not work either, and the weather was perfect for it. The pool was just fixed, and they were still busy filling it up. The owner told us that he had informed the website that those things were not fixed and that he would take it off the list. By now it was after 3 pm, and the place that was offered was 1 hour and 20 minutes away. After insisting, the owner’s son offered us his TV, and one of our guests used his own DStv app so we could watch the rugby. This is what they are bargaining on — that it is too inconvenient to move, and that you will stay. After the first night, I had to wake them up at 6:45 am because we had no water. Everything was extremely run down. The beds and bedding are terrible. One mattress had the spring sticking out. The place was superficially clean, but the kitchen cupboards were dirty. It was definitely not worth R5000 a day. The place has potential, but as it stands, it is not worth it. We will not be staying there again. The photos don't tell the story.

Baie potensiaal maar kort dringend onderhoud op die plek. Die plek het baie potensiaal, maar daar is geen onderhoud op die plek nie. Een kant van die huis se kragpunte het glad nie gewerk nie. Die swembad en jacuzzi is vuil, glad nie skoongemaak nie, en die stoof werk ook nie, so daar was 2 gasplaatstofies op die stoof geplaas en gas was klaar. WiFi het ook nie gewerk nie.
