An Overberg gem, waiting to welcome you. I almost don't want to leave a good review because I'd selfishly like to keep the knowledge of this gem to myself! What a stunning find this was; located on a farm approximately 30km south-west of Swellendam, just off the road to Bredasdorp. The cottage is a comfortable size for a longer stay, with ample cupboard space for clothing and groceries (the latter being a rare feature of self-catering accommodation in my experience), a well-equipped kitchen with full-size fridge and gas stove & oven, a separate scullery, dining area and an indoor braai. The covered patio extends around 2 sides of the cottage, and fold-up outdoor chairs are provided along with a small side table for coffee or drinks on the stoep. This also gives sufficient space to keep e.g. mountain bikes under cover if need be. Most of all: it's quiet, peaceful, and mostly completely dark after sundown (with the exception of lights from the farmhouse at the bottom of the hill, and the wind turbine lights in the distance). Although the approach is on gravel roads, I know from experience in the area that these are mostly kept in good condition and are passable in an ordinary sedan vehicle, although definitely wise to check in advance during the rainy season.

Stunning, clean and easily accessible farm stay. If I could give more stars I would too. Beautifully decorated, clean, very comfortable stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. We'll be back to see the farm in full bloom!
