Wonderfully peaceful getaway. Well equipped and thoughtfully decorated cottage with balcony overlooking water pan. The cottage is situated between Mopani trees which provide shade for the wooden deck and lapa. There is also a small splash pool: everything you need. Extremely peaceful atmosphere with plenty of birds (including Green Spotted Pigeons, Barn Owls and Night Owls) which add wonderful tranquility. Nice place to walk in a variety of bushveld types. I can recommend Veldrust and hope to visit again soon. They sell good firewood (Mopani) at a reasonable price.

Time out to relax & reset - food for the soul. The log cabin has just been completed and we were their first guests. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. We had a relaxing 3-night stay - the natural surroundings are great for walks, the plunge pool and firepit were wonderful to have and the fact that there is very weak cell phone signal was just perfect! The bed is comfortable, the linen is great, the towels could be improved. The cabin is rustic and basically furnished but there are some improvements planned. Thank you to the hosts for allowing our 5 dogs - they had an absolute ball - even in the rain! Veldrust are in the process of going solar and once this is completed, it will be fabulous. We look forward to returning.
