Description

Waterkloof Guest Farm is a lovely spacious homestead located on a working farm at the foothills of the majestic Swartberg Mountains. This charming homestead dates back to 1870 and together with its tranquil surroundings, it is a truly unique experience for local and foreign visitors. The area is malaria-free and has a fantastic climate with beautiful sunny winter days with cool nights. Summers are perfect and sunny.

Accommodation is offered in a self-catering house with 3 bedrooms, 1 double bed and 8 single beds that can sleep up to 10 guests. All the rooms have fans and heaters. The house consists of a fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge and freezer. There are 2 private bathrooms fitted with showers and baths and a spacious lounge area with a TV. Guests to bring their own decoder for DStv access. There is a lovely braai area and safe undercover parking available. All linen and towels are provided.

Tamed wildlife roams freely along with domesticated animals on the working farm. Ostriches, cattle, sheep, Angora goats and vegetable seed are farmed.

Activities include taking daily walks on the farm, jogging or cycling across the countryside, explore the mountain bike and hiking trails. Waterkloof is a bird watching paradise with a great variety of different bird species. Guests can just sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Swartberg and Kammanassie Mountains while reading a good book. The clear night skies, bright stars and silence truly unique to the Klein Karoo makes a visit to this extraordinary beautiful farm more than a worthwhile experience.
