Whale Huys is situated in Overstrand, De Kelders, an area best known for its scenic routes, beaches, whale watching, shark cage diving, hiking trails and iconic attractions which include Walker Bay Nature Reserve. The house has solar and battery back-up and is therefore not affected by loadshedding. The house comprises with 4 en-suite bedrooms and is suited to accommodate 8 guests. Bedroom 1 features an extra-long king-size bed, and bedrooms 2 and 4 feature an extra-long king-size bed that can also be made up as two extra-long single beds. Bedroom 3 features a double bed. The bathrooms are fitted with a shower basin and toilet. Additionally, bathroom 2 also has a bathtub. Other facilities include a lounge, a kitchen equipped for gourmet cooking, a dining area, a fireplace, TVs with selected DStv channels, and a telescope for whale watching. High-speed Wi-Fi is available. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer, and tea- and coffee- making facilities.
The house boasts a salt-water, solar-heated swimming pool, a wood-fired hot tub, outdoor braai facilities, a large deck, and a private gym. Airport transfers are available by prior arrangement. Pets are welcome by prior arrangment.
