Perfect stay. The perfect place for a reset. So peaceful, surrounded by bird and insect calls, and the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. The patio is the perfect place to just sit and stare and let your mind go blank. Or grab the binoculars and watch some birds. The cabin is well-equipped. The kitchen has everything you need to cook or braai. The massive bed in the main bedroom is comfortable. There are plenty of books and games to keep you busy. Anton and Lorraine are the best hosts, special thanks to Lorraine for her willingness to assist when my dog was injured.

A welcome break from everyday life. A tranquil forest escape. Monkeys, loeries and fireflies - quite magical. I was travelling with my dog Abbey-May and she loved it. Will definitely be back!

Sal dit aanbeveel. Ek hou van die plek, die oop leefarea/kombuis, absoluut privaat in die natuur weggesteek. Net een probleem: 'n sterk reuk van mould gehad, maar as so iets jou nie gaan pla nie, amazing plek.

Wilderness Forest Chalet

Hi Annelie Thank you for your review and the recommendation. Regarding the mould issue, I did check the bedroom you used after you left, but did not notice a smell. I suppose some people are more sensitive to something like that than others. The humidity that night was very high - higher than usual, and as it was cold, I presume you slept with the windows closed. I would have recommended using one or two of the wall heaters and keeping a window open for ventilation. However, I will follow up with your suggestions. Kind regards Anton

Best Wilderness accommodation. What a wonderful spot away from everything. It has everything you could need and is clean and cosy. We will most certainly be back!

We spent a blissful week in this beautiful, tranquil, lush setting. We loved every moment of our stay in the Wilderness Forest Chalet. What a perfect setting in the glade, among magnificent trees, with the music of the river flowing all around! The chalet invites you to live outdoors no matter the weather or time of day. The living area, together with the lovely braai area, forms an arena looking onto the glade. Every evening, we were treated to a magical firefly show. Anton was a wonderful host, making sure we were comfortable and well looked after. We highly recommend the Wilderness Forest Chalet.
