Very happy, thank you. I booked for an employee who was satisfied with his stay. He says the accommodation and host were great. The room was clean and the linen and towels were fresh. He liked that there was a small fridge in the room. I would stay there again when doing events in Tulbagh.

A great experience that I look forward to repeating. Our stay at Wittedrift Manor House was a fantastic experience that I would be very happy to repeat. The staff were helpful and the manager was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The atmosphere of the house was friendly and inviting. A very big thank you to the folks at Wittedrift for making our stay there such a wonderful experience.

Not a stay that I would recommend to anybody (not "lekke" at all). Not what we expected at all for the price we paid! 1. The toilet seat was broken. 2. The sanitary bin lid is broken off. 3. The shower taps are not marked hot/cold, which will normally not be a problem, but the hot water takes more than 2 minutes to get warm enough so you can identify the hot water tap. 4. The shower step-in is very awkward with a slanted step and the shower floor covered with glossy (slippery) tiles. This caused my wife to slip and fall when stepping into the shower. A warning sign is required here. 5. The room is very dark, especially for my wife who had to do her make-up for a wedding reception. 6. We found a tablet (medication), most probably from a previous guest, on the carpet. How well was the room cleaned after previous guests departed? 7. When we came back from the reception, we had a job opening the electric sliding gate and the manager's car parked across the narrow street right opposite the gate. I felt quite uncomfortable standing out in the street battling to get the gate open at midnight.

Thank you for your constructive criticism; it helps us improve the guest experience and rectify any issues raised. Thank you, all the toilet seats had been recently replaced, so we asked the maintenance team to tighten the screws and all was good. We have relabelled the hot and cold taps and made a note to let the guest know it takes time as the geyser is on the opposite side of the house, and anti-slip mats are in place. We have checked the lighting and added a brighter light in the bathroom for makeup etc. The gate has also been sorted, and the owner was away at the time, so no cars were on site, but we have mentioned to the guest to park ensuring they do not block the gate. Dubbelbed nie 'n bo-laken gehad nie - snikhete aand. Indruk: oud/stowwerig. Verblyf was bevredigend maar nie uitstaande nie.

Heerlik gebly, net te kort! Om Wittedrift Manor House optesom in paar woorde gaan moeilik wees want dit is 'n baie interesante ervaring gewees. Ons het wel heerlik gebly en sal Wittedrift Manor House aanbeveel. Dit is 'n fantastiese mooi ou huis. Ongelukkig nie die eienaar/s ontmoet nie want daar moet ongelooflike ryk historiese agtergrond wees wat ek graag van die eienaars se oogpunt wou ervaar. Nie almal van ons hou van eienaars wat heeltyd oor hulle plek wil gesels nie, maar in hierdie geval sou dit fantasties wees. Ontvangs ervaring was aanvanklik bietjie van teleurstelling want mens kom voor toe hek met geen klokkie nie. Ons en ander gaste het gebel waarna 'n baie vriendelike vrou ons ontvang en ingeboek het. Sodra mens in die huis is, word jy oorweldig met die hoe dak, 'n groot versameling mooi en ou meubels, skilderye, ornamente, en reuse blomme rangskikking. Kombuis is groot en jy voel soos in jou ouma se kombuis, buiten dat daar nie koolstoof met potjie koffie op is nie. Slaapkamer is groot en gemaklik. Soos alle gastehuise is daar 'n miljoen los kussens om op die grond te gooi wanneer jy gaan slaap, maar daarvoor is daar spasie. 'n Verskeidenheid skilderye versier die mure, die oorheersende tema van skilderye het my laat wonder of die kunstenaar ding oor vrou se borste het. Stort- en toiletruimte is ruim en gemaklik. Parkeering is knap, maar ons kon binne in die erf parkeer. Sou nie gemaklik gewees het om my voertuig buite op straat te los deur die nag nie, alhoewel die gaste van ander plekke in Kerkstraat om die draai hulle voertuie op straat moes los. Die ingangshek is nie outomaties nie en moet met die hand oopgemaak word met elke aankoms en vertrek. 'n Outomatiese hek sal 'n welkome opgradering wees. Ontbyt is basies met 'n keuse tussen roereier of gebakte eiers, spek en roosterbrood. Daar was ook jogurt en muesli bedien.

Not good at all. A big disappointment. Although a beautiful manor house with some nice antiques, the general feel was 'tired' and run down. Then the clientele - it appears to be run as a hostel, with various people cooking curry in the kitchen, brewing up stews and then eating in the lounge etc. Very uncomfortable. Sad.

Thank you - constructive criticism is great as it gives us an opportunity to improve for future guests' experiences. Besides routine maintenance, which we do in the quieter months, we had damage caused by the strong winds and storms, so we are busy repainting and replacing thatch due to the damage caused - this is a messy job - huge apologies for that. Yes, the house is self-catering with communal lounge and kitchen areas allowing all the guests that are staying in the house to cook meals as they wish. Most of the guests staying are booked through agents like this plus others and enjoy the self-catering aspect of the house - home away from home feeling. We will, however, make a note to ask guests to be considerate of others, especially those who are booked in for a week as part of our winter special package. Thank you and kind regards.

Die huis lyk omtrent soos 'n kunsgalery en museum in een. Pragtige plek. Baie lekker huis. Vol baie mooi kuns. Lekker swembad. Lekker ontbyt gekry. Gaste mag die kombuis gebruik.
