It was peaceful, relaxing, cozy. Beautiful location, so peaceful and out of the way with lots of privacy. It had everything you needed, really cosy stay. Good WiFi too!

Peaceful, cozy. The owners were very obliging as we came quite late and had the fire going for us when we arrived. They gave us privacy, but also reminded us to let them know if we needed anything, anytime.

Excellent place for a peaceful getaway! Everything was perfect! We had a wonderful rest and walked in nature with our dogs. The bed is comfortable and the fireplace makes the whole house wonderfully warm. Everything was very clean and the man who comes to start the donkey twice a day was very friendly. He also helped us carry our luggage up the hill.

Peaceful getaway. Lovely getaway! The unit is well equipped with all the amenities (cooking/braai/cleaning products/coffee making/bathroom supplies) for a comfortable stay, but you feel right in the heart of nature! Nice location, excellent communication from the host, attention to detail such as candles, rusks for the morning, and plants make it feel homey. We arrived at golden hour with the sun shining through the trees, which was so beautiful. We really enjoyed our morning coffee on the terrace, listening to the birds and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We will be back!

Very basic, but nice and quiet and peaceful. The place is very 'rustic' and cute. The owners built it themselves. The concept of the bathroom was brilliant, especially the beautiful potted plants, but unfortunately could not shower there due to no water supply. Unfortunately we failed to notice the 'off grid'. There is absolutely no power available in the room, so that was a surprise. Only one lamp worked. The other one's batteries were flat. We were grateful for the upgrade to the larger house.
