Located just outside of Pietermaritzburg, Zebra Cottage offers lovely self-catering accommodation situated on a 570-hectare farm boasting acacia woodland, spectacular red cliffs, deep forested valleys and waterfalls on the Umgeni and Rietspruit Rivers.
This cottage can comfortably accommodate 4 guests at a time and comprises 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. A shower, washbasin and toilet are available in the bathroom.
The cosy living area features a kitchenette equipped with a 2-plate gas stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Leading from this kitchen is a cosy lounge and dining space.
Outside guests have their own wooden deck with a table and chairs. This wooden deck leads down to a sunny braai area with a fire pit. All guests have full access to the property’s communal swimming pool.
The Umgeni River forms part of the boundary of the Reserve and is home to many species of freshwater fish as well as some resident crocodiles. This property is also part of a 3500-hectare Conservancy bordering the reserve so one can gaze beyond the borders onto more beautiful bush and farmland beyond.
