Professional, lovely staff who meet your demands where possible. They offer braai. A fantastic, lovely new microwave was bought after we requested one. The host is the best, and the hostesses are equally welcoming and easy to engage with, no matter the time. We arrived very late in the afternoon, but the welcome was exceptional. The room was very exclusive, with privacy and intimacy guaranteed. They offered us an iron and ironing board free of charge. And not to forget the tea/coffee plus delicious fresh rusks offered for free. The location is very good as it is directly next to the N4, which makes accessing the place and other amenities very easy to use.

Ons het in 'n rustige plaasatmosfeer gebly. Avontuur Gastehuis het 'n ideale ligging oppad na Botswana en is baie veilig met al die nodigehede.

A perfect overnight stay in Zeerust! Karin was a wonderful hostess. The communication before our stay, the welcome drinks and making sure that we had absolutely everything we needed. The house we stayed in was decorated with high quality and tasteful items. The small touches such as flowers, wood, ice, rusks etc. were so welcome after a long journey. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Waarde vir geld, 'n "home from home" ervaring. Ons het heerlik gebly, dit is uiters skoon en netjies en die eienaars het ons op ons hande gedra. Die stap in die veld, die perdry, die heerlike swem in die skoon plaasdam ens, wat 'n avontuurlike ervaring. Ons sal beslis uit ons pad gaan om weer daar te bly.

Great, super clean unit! Avontuur Gastehuis and Kampterrein is super clean and neat, both inside and outside. We loved that the unit has an inverter, though it doesn't power the stove, so no option to cook during long power cuts which we experienced. But, you can always braai! The hosts are amazingly thoughtful in how the place is organised, there was ice in the freezer, milk, tea and coffee. There were enough rusks for a nice morning coffee on the stoep on our 1st morning and wood at no extra cost for that mandatory braai. It's the small details that won me over, the welcome board on the stoep, fresh flowers, fire and succulents in the house, Karin checking in on us while we were on our way to the venue, and a post-it with the loadshedding schedule. Top-notch, good old South African hospitality. The venue is right on the N4, close to the Namibia/Botswana border, there is lots of truck traffic noise, not super ideal for a long quiet holiday but a great stopover or a quick weekend spot. Because of the size of the unit, the noise of the inverter takes some getting used to, so if you are a light sleeper, you may battle to get in some sleep. There isn't much to do with kids at the venue and the surrounding areas. So pack some board games if you will be travelling with teens and younger kids.
