Excellent hotel and friendly staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Barrydale Karoo - Boutique Hotel. Eugene and Manfred were friendly and provided excellent customer service. The rooms were clean and well equipped, and the breakfast and food at the restaurant were excellent. Electric blankets and heaters in the rooms made sure we had a comfortable and warm stay. A short overnight, but very comfortable and enjoyable stay. So glad we stayed here, so many times we drive the R62 through Barrydale without stopping. The room was spacious, and the styling was almost colonial antique, very, very neat, fresh and comfortable. No AC but the fan did a great job of cooling the room. A big bonus for us was the pet friendliness. We had a good café style dinner in the evening on arrival, and a good breakfast (included in the rate) before departure the following morning. Safe parking was available behind the hotel. It was very busy in the evening and for breakfast and is obviously very popular. Eugen was a good host.
