Definitely not what one would expect. I fail to understand how you can keep this accommodation on the books. It is filthy, the walls are covered in mildew, electricity is unsafe and not what is advertised. You should visit the place to evaluate first hand. I have numerous photos which will be addressed separately. Various permanents advised that they were not allowed to discuss circumstances with us. There is a dangerous dog, apparently the caretaker's, that nearly killed another. Even before the attack, we heard it had attacked another and a human. I booked in two days early and paid cash. The next day when asking for a receipt, I was asked "Don't you trust me?". The answer is"No!" I am finding it difficult to not believe fraud is in place!

From the end of November 2024 until sometime in February 2025, the wheels fell off. Our managers had a family problem in the Eastern Cape and had to spend six weeks of our busiest time away - we tried to fill the gap but failed. For this, we sincerely apologise. There were also some long term stays who pay very little and in some cases nothing who also stirred the pot. We closed our website while we sorted out various issues and we have reduced the number of units available. We have now reopened. We offer basic, rustic accommodation in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere at very reasonable prices. It is not top of the line accommodation, but we do try to keep it clean and comfortable. We now also have security on site, but safety has never been a big problem. We say in each unit, “If you leave something out overnight it will most likely be there tomorrow morning, but if you do this every night, then one day it will be gone.” We are truly sorry for the poor experience that some, but not all, of our guests experienced over this period.

Geen skoonmaakdiens soos belowe, foto's en realiteit was 2 verskillende dinge. Op aankoms was ons na 'n vuil plek geneem wat glad nie veilig is nie teen die stoor waar als rondle. My seuntjie was amper deur die honde gebyt wat op hom afgestorm het. Ons moes in die vuil huis in die hoek staan en wag dat die werker die honde vasmaak. Daar is nie 'n manier wat ek in daai plek sou bly as enkelma nie. Ons was geskuif na 'n ander plek. Foto's is misleidend.

Very bad experience. The place is not suitable for renting out to visitors. The ablution facilities are worse. The place stinks. Rooms are not up to standard.

Het dit nie veel geniet nie. Deur die dag kan jy nie daar spandeer nie. Was bekommerd oor veiligheid, nommer een. Niks netheid nie. Nie skoonmaakdienste nie. Eenhede baie vuil, asook badkamers nie op standaard nie. Nie opgevoede of ordentlike sekuriteit nie. Motorhek moet jy self oop- en toemaak. Aggressiewe honde wat los rondhardloop en mense bestorm. Vensters wat van buite af oopmaak en niks veiligheidsheining nie. Hulle verwag dat 'n enkel ma en 'n jong kind vêr in die hoek van alles en almal bly. Dit naby 'n plakkerskamp. Moet vêr loop in die nag om badkamer toe te gaan. Mens kan nie die sterretjies rate nie, want dis regtig uiters swak. Ek is teleurgesteld omdat die plek aanbeveel word.
