Thank you for your feedback. I was surprised to receive your concerns, as you had previously mentioned that your stay was on the whole comfortable.
I do, however, take note of the points you have raised. Our accommodation is unique and forms part of a private home, which may not always align with the preferences of every guest. It seems in this instance that our property may not have been the best fit for your specific needs, and perhaps a hotel or larger complex would have been more suitable.
I would like to clarify a few aspects:
Parking: Guests are welcome to make use of secure parking on our cul-de-sac, which is monitored and patrolled every half hour, providing flexibility for entry and exit at any time. However guests can park inside the driveway gates if they adhere to the curfew.
Water usage: On arrival, I explained the current water restrictions in Gauteng and kindly requested that showers be limited to 5 minutes to assist with conservation. Excessive usage has a significant impact in our water-scarce country, and I try to raise awareness through sustainable practices in the home and garden.
Entertainment: The cottage offers access to a wide variety of content through YouTube, and guests are welcome to use their own accounts should they wish to access additional services.
Comfort: I have made adjustments to the two single beds, and they are now perfectly comfortable.
The cottage is intended to offer guests a comfortable and charming stay, with the added benefit of a private courtyard and tranquil garden views. We strive to ensure that guests feel relaxed and undisturbed during their time here.
While I regret that the experience did not meet all of your expectations, I appreciate your feedback.
