Description

De Poort offers a secluded getaway tucked away in the Overberg bush, overlooking a beautiful dam. The cottage is located in a peaceful setting, just 11 km from Bredasdorp and 35 km from Struisbaai on the coast.

The cottage can accommodate 4 adults and 2 children and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. The bathrooms are fitted with showers. A sleeper couch for children can be found in the living area.

The cottage comprises an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with a view of the dam. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge with a small freezer and a gas oven and stove. The open-plan living area includes a dining table and chairs, and a lounge with an indoor fireplace.

The rustic appeal blends in with the surrounding nature and the cottage is off-the-grid and runs on solar and gas, however it is equipped with luxuries such as Wi-Fi and a wood-fired hot tub for those starry nights.

Activities include hiking, swimming, fishing and horse riding or just relax on the patio and appreciate nature; if you are lucky you may even spot an antelope.

The location offers access to wine farms in the surrounding area, and the Agulhas National Park.
