Had a lovely peaceful stay. Drakensberg Mountain Retreat is wonderfully peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The view is incredible. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean and tidy. We were disappointed with the dinner, which was tasty but basic (cheap) meals. It had rained a lot before we arrived, which meant that the last bit of road on their property was very muddy. The rest of the 12 km dirt road was not too bad. Due to the wet weather we only did one walk (Heldersig and Protea Pavement). The walk is in good condition and clearly marked. The views of the two peaks make the walk worthwhile.

Romantic getaway for wedding anniversary. The management made an extra effort to decorate our room romantically for our wedding anniversary. Friendly service and delicious food.
