Description

Eden Cottage is situated on a 2-hectare plot adjacent to the town of White River. It is centrally located to many of the local attractions such as the Kruger National Park, Graskop, Hazyview, Sudwala Caves, numerous waterfalls around Sabie and the Botanical Garden, and Kaapse Hoop.

This self-catering guest house consists of a stand-alone unit with 2 en-suite bedrooms, a lounge and dining room, kitchen and an enclosed patio with built-in braai facilities. This unit can be booked as a whole, as Eden Cottage and can accommodate 4 adults and 1 child.

The 2 rooms, Lions and Buffalo, can also be rented separately. Lions have a king-size bed, a bathroom, with an extra, smaller bed in living room, living area, kitchen and patio with braai facilities. Buffalo Room has twin beds, which can be made up as a queen-size bed, a bathroom, a wooden deck with fully equipped kitchen and mobile braai. There is also DSTV. We have installed free WIFI

There is also a bachelor flat, the Elephant Room with a queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath and shower, small kitchen and a deck with mobile braai and table and chairs.

We have added a fourth option, The Luxury Leopard Tent. The tent is built on a cement floor with steel frame covered with canvas. Over the whole tent is a 100% shade net canopy. There is an en suite bath room (shower, toilet and basin) and a fully equipped kitchen. In front of the tent is a wooden deck overlooking the dam. The tent sleeps 6 people. Double bed and 2 bunker beds. There is also an area with a braai.

The units are provided with coffee, tea and homemade biscuits. Toiletries are also provided, as well as linens and towels.

All the rooms offer a beautiful view of the pond and garden. Your hosts are animal lovers and have chickens, sheep, a dog and waterfowl like geese and kingfishers. All guests are welcome to help with the feeding of the animals or extract egg. The unique Purple-crested Turaco and other beautiful bird species visit the establishment regularly. The property is electrically fenced and we only make use of borehole water.
