Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R250 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

There is a 150 m gravel road leading to the cottage. The gravel road is in good condition and is suitable for all cars.

CHECK-IN / DEPARTURE
Check-in: From 14:00 onwards
Check-out: By 10:00
No early check-ins or late check-outs are permitted without prior arrangement and written consent from management.

PAYMENTS
A 50% deposit is required within 72 hours (3 days) of making a booking, whether made online or directly with Libertas Guest Farm. If no deposit is received within this period, the establishment reserves the right to cancel the booking.
Final payment is due 3–5 working days prior to check-in.

IMPORTANT
No additional guests are allowed beyond the unit’s maximum occupancy. And no adults allowed in loft at The Farmhouse.
No day visitors without prior arrangement and approval from management.
No pets allowed — regardless of size, age, or temperament.

GENERAL RULES
Please respect the farm, nature, and other guests during your stay.
Gate codes and check-in details will be shared before arrival.
It is the guest’s responsibility to share this information with everyone in their group.
Refrain from using Googlemaps/Waze – especially when booked at The Farmhouse. Follow directions sent (also available on website).
Linen and towels are provided; please bring your own swimming towels.
No smoking indoors.
Baboons and vervet monkeys may enter cottages if windows are left open. Please keep all windows closed when leaving, and do not feed the animals.
No parties, events, or functions are allowed unless arranged and booked in advance.
Do not move furniture, utensils, or other items between units.
No firearms or airguns permitted.
No loud music, and no music at all after 22:00.
No motorbikes or quad bikes allowed unless used as a means of transport.
Garbage: Full bags should be placed in the outdoor bins provided.
Cleaning staff will handle daily removal, but during weekends, guests may need to do this themselves if bins overflow.
This is a working dairy and macadamia nut farm, and flies may be present.
We provide:
Battery-operated Ultramatic fly spray units.
Standing fans in all units — flies dislike air movement, particularly helpful in kitchen areas.

ACTIVITIES & SAFETY
Swimming, hiking, kayaking, and mountain biking are done at your own risk.
Parental supervision is required at all times for children.
Libertas Guest Farm reserves the right to charge for damages, including but not limited to breakages, loss of property, and damage to the environment.
Individuals exhibiting offensive or unlawful behavior will be asked to leave immediately.
The establishment is not liable for loss or damage caused by fire or theft.
Use of facilities is entirely at your own risk.
Guests indemnify Libertas Guest Farm against any claims arising from the use of property or amenities.

ADDITIONAL POLICIES
Management reserves the right to:
- Take immediate action in the event of an emergency.
- Relocate guests to a unit of equal standard if necessary.
Lost property: Items left behind will be kept for 30 days. Retrieval options include personal collection, guest-arranged courier, or Pudo (after payment is received for this service).
A late departure fee may be added to your account.
Before leaving, please ensure:
All windows are closed &curtains are drawn.
Appliances (fans, ovens, heaters, electric blankets) are turned off.
The establishment is not liable for loss or damage caused by fire or theft.Use of facilities is entirely at your own risk.
Guests indemnify Libertas Guest Farm against any claims arising from the use of property or amenities.

Management reserves the right to:
- Take immediate action in the event of an emergency.
- Relocate guests to a unit of equal standard if necessary.
Lost property: Items left behind will be kept for 30 days. Retrieval options include personal collection, guest-arranged courier, or Pudo (guests to arrange locker).
A late departure fee may be added to your account.
Before leaving, please ensure:
All windows are closed &curtains are drawn.
Appliances (fans, ovens, heaters, electric blankets) are turned off.
Doors are locked, the alarm is set, and keys placed in the key safe.
Cancellations Due to Weather Conditions: Please note that Libertas Guest Farm cannot be held liable for unforeseen weather. All bookings are made irrespective of weather conditions. If you choose to cancel due to weather, our standard cancellation policy applies.
We will do our best to assist with finding a replacement booking for your dates, but this cannot be guaranteed. Thank you for understanding.
