Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

A standard key and breakage deposit is due before or at check-in. The amount held depends on the length of stay and the standard of the apartment and may be adjusted at the owner’s or management’s discretion.

The deposit is processed through a secure credit card link. This is only a hold on the amount and will be released within 14 days after checkout, provided no claims are made. No actual deduction will be made from your account, and therefore no credit will appear. On your bank statement, the hold will reduce your available balance temporarily. Once released, your available balance will return to the actual balance.

If a credit card is not available, the deposit can be paid via EFT, provided the funds reach our account before arrival. A bank confirmation letter will then be required to process the refund.

If neither of the above options is actioned, a refundable cash or debit card payment must be made before check-in can be completed. A minimum fee of R150,00 will apply for processing the refund to your account. No cash refunds will be allowed.

Deposits will be refunded within 14 days after checkout, provided everything is in order.

The purpose of the deposit is to cover any incidentals, including but not limited to: lost or broken keys, property damage, stained or badly soiled linen, excessively dirty apartments, noise complaints, or any breach of house rules.

All guests are personally met to complete the check-in process. Check-ins are scheduled by the hour in advance on a first-come, first-served basis between 14:00 and 18:00. As multiple properties are managed and the team is not based on-site, accommodating specific preferred times may not always be possible. Every effort will, however, be made to meet guest preferences. Please note that check-ins after 18:00 incur an additional fee, payable upon arrival before keys are handed over.

The original credit card used to make the reservation, along with valid identification of the cardholder, must be presented at check-in.

No keys will be handed over without the above.
