Kastelein is a newly built guest house in Pongola, situated en-route to the N2 National Highway, halfway between the Northern provinces and KwaZulu-Natal.

Kastelein offers comfortable, elegant accommodation for corporate and holiday guests, yet with affordable rates and a relaxed atmosphere. There are 5 double rooms, each room presents a private entrance from the patio or balcony, features en-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes, lounging areas, DStv and air-conditioning.

The Colonial style of the building is a distinguished landmark in Pongola and the rooms are furnished accordingly. The original homestead which fronts Dr Jansen Street, is home to our reception and dining room and opens to a formal landscaped garden. The guest rooms are set in the quaint backyard and cosy little courtyard.

We do not serve any meals, but our rooms have kitchenettes equipped for semi-self catering.

There is safe, undercover parking, a splash pool and public garden area.

Kastelein is conveniently situated to provide easy access to the Elephant Coast resorts, vast variety of game parks and farms and King Shaka International Airport.
