House Rules

The number of guests may not exceed the number confirmed in the booking. All ages count unless under six months. Day visitors are allowed only by prior arrangement.

No pets are allowed unless arranged in advance. Owners are responsible for adhering to local bylaws.

Smoking or vaping is not permitted indoors. Cigarette butts must be discarded responsibly as the area is at high risk of fire. Be cautious with candles; hot wax may damage surfaces.

Guests should bring their own beach towels if required.

This is a self-catering property. Guests must supply their own salt, pepper and cooking oils. No cleaning is included during the stay. Accommodation, furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects must be kept in the same state of repair and cleanliness as at the commencement of the stay. Any excessive cleaning or laundry costs will be for the account of the guest.

There is no hot water in the scullery/kitchen area. A dishwasher and a kettle are available.

Fires are permitted only in designated braai areas and fireplaces. No beach fires or fireworks. Never leave hot coals unattended.

Only toilet paper may be flushed.

Guests must activate the alarm when leaving. Failure to do so may void insurance coverage.

No loud music or disturbances are allowed, especially after 22:00. Outdoor lights must be switched off by 22:00.

Pringle Bay is known for occasional strong winds and baboons, both of which can be a nuisance and potentially destructive.

Stacking doors have been pin-locked and cannot be fully opened. Only the first panel of all doors may be opened to limit potential baboon entry and prevent excessive drafts.

All opening windows have been baboon-proofed to some extent. This prevents them from being fully opened while still allowing ventilation.

Doors and windows must not be left open when the property is unattended. Guests should remain vigilant of baboons and must not feed them. If a baboon enters, remain calm and allow it to exit on its own.

Guests must not move furniture. Locked cupboards are private and must not be opened.

Any damage or breakages must be reported to the host and will be for the account of the guest.

Guests are expected to leave the accommodation clean and tidy, including washing and storing braai equipment, cutlery, crockery, and kitchen appliances.

The local shop is open until 22:00 daily for essential groceries.

This is a protected UNESCO biosphere. Guests must respect local flora and fauna.
