House Rules

Please note that construction is expected to take place between January and May 2025. Minimal disruption is expected.

Please use the provided bins for waste and the buckets for ash from the braai area and fireplace. Do not dispose of them in the field to prevent fires.

The municipality collects rubbish on Thursdays. Guests can separate their waste by placing recyclables in the black bins in the garage and kitchen waste in the green bin. If you are present, please leave the green bin outside for collection along with the recyclables next to it, and return the bin to the garage once emptied.

Please use water sparingly.

The ADT security company patrols the area every hour and is on standby if guests require any assistance.

There are two panic buttons in the house: one near the fireplace next to the shelves and another in the main bedroom near the bathroom door. When leaving for the day, please activate the alarm system and close all windows.

A full electrical inverter is available for your convenience during load shedding.

Please ensure that you do not use the following appliances simultaneously during load shedding, as the inverter’s battery may run low: geyser, oven, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, and kettle.

Do not move the furniture across the vinyl floors, as this causes scuff marks and permanent damage.

Please return all games to their original boxes and place them back in the cupboard where you found them.

Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Please use the deck and the provided ash buckets.

Please wash all dirty dishes and pots before checking out.

The sliding doors facing the sea are very heavy. Please ensure that you pull each door unit separately from the edge. Do not push the doors.

Bring in the deck cushions and all personal belongings at night.

Kayaks:
A waiver form containing your stay details must be signed and returned, even if you do not plan to use the kayaks.

The kayak keys are on top of the electrical box in the garage.

Please ensure that all kayaks and accessories are cleaned with fresh water.

Kayaks and accessories must be returned to their original place.

Do not leave the kayaks on the beach or deck overnight.

No loud music after 22:00.

Pet policy:
The property is not fenced.
All pets must be on a leash if you are going for a walk.
Please clean after your pet.
Please bring your own food and water containers for your pets.
There is a backyard if you can not take your pet with you when you go out to ensure that they are safe.
