Description

Lekkerkry Game Farm offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a tranquil bushveld setting, where several tame wildlife species roam freely. Ideally located, the game farm is just 80 km from Johannesburg, 40 km from Potchefstroom, 50 km from the Vaal Triangle, and 30 km from Parys.

This stylish thatched-roof house features four bedrooms: two main bedrooms each with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, a third bedroom with a double and a single bed, and a fourth bedroom also furnished with a double and a single bed. Additionally, there is an area with single beds that can serve either as a fifth bedroom or an open sleeping space for children or a couple. A shared bathroom and a separate guest toilet are available for the remaining rooms.

The open-plan kitchen and living area offer a comfortable space for guests to relax. The kitchen is equipped with cutlery, a gas stove, fridge, air fryer, and microwave. Electricity is supplied by a solar system, which cannot support a large oven, but a compact air fryer oven is available for use.

The spacious patio features a Jacuzzi, a built-in fireplace, and a TV with full DStv access. Wi-Fi is also provided. The patio opens onto breathtaking views of the surrounding bushveld. Outdoors, guests can enjoy an open-air boma area ideal for a bushveld braai, as well as a swimming pool for cooling off on warm days.

Activities on the farm include hiking, mountain biking, or enjoying a peaceful bush braai away from the crowds.

Wildlife frequently spotted on the farm includes kudu, blue wildebeest, black wildebeest, golden wildebeest, lechwe, eland, impala, springbok, red hartebeest, nyala, zebra, giraffe, roan antelope, sable, wild goats, waterbuck, and even monkeys and bush pigs.

The charming town of Parys and the historic Vredefort Dome, known for their unique shops, restaurants, and pubs, are a short drive away. For those wishing to venture out, the popular Hennie’s Pub in Fochville is just 13 km away. Fochville also boasts one of the top-rated supermarkets in the country, perfect for stocking up on groceries and other essentials.
