Description

Malagas Hotel is a family friendly country hotel situated on the banks of the mighty Breede River, within the Lower Breede River Conservancy. Guests will see a wide variety of birdlife, one of which is the protected blue crane.

The hotel offers accommodation in various room types that can accommodate between 2 to 4 people and comprises twin rooms, double rooms, triple rooms and family rooms. The rooms are furnished with twin beds or king-size beds, and have en-suite bathrooms with baths or showers.

The rooms are equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, mini-bar fridges, TV's with local channels and selected DStv channels as well as heaters and ceiling fans. Some of the rooms have a partial view of the river.

A full South African breakfast, and a hearty table d'hôte home-cooked dinner is served, and meals can be accompanied with a selection of vintage wines.

In summer, guests can relax and cool down in the swimming pool or enjoy a drink on the terrace, and in the colder months or evenings, warm up around the fire in the dining room or the pub. Guests can hire a canoe or small motorboat, play a round of pool or darts, or make use of the croquet and a volleyball court, the children will enjoy the trampolines and jungle gym.

The Malagas Hotel is roughly 18 km from De Hoop Nature Reserve, and 33 km from Witsand which is a perfect location for whale watching in season.
