Lovely place but the unit was unpleasantly cold in winter. The cottage is lovely and well situated. However, a few things will prevent me from staying here again. Our biggest challenge was to stay warm because the unit is really cold. It's winter but the beds are fitted with summer duvets and blankets. The unit is tiled throughout without any mats (including bedside mats). The fireplace is completely inefficient in heat generation and the main air conditioner unit remote in the kitchen was not working. Although there was a wall heater and oil heater, these could only be used when not using other appliances in the kitchen (microwave, kettle, oven etc.) as these then tripped the electricity. The air conditioning units in the bedrooms did warm the room but again could not be used freely as required because of the board capacity. Our stay was cold. Carlo was amazing. He went out of his way to help. He brought us some extra blankets and helped with the electricity issue.

Perfect for a small group of adults. It has a lovely fireplace, braai area and heaters. But it is cold in winter when the heaters are off.
