Description

OënaBo offers self-catering overnight accommodation for 2 guests in the quiet town of Loxton.

The open-plan unit is separate from the main house where the owners reside. It is furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Linen, towels, shampoo, and soap are provided. Hot water is supplied via a gas geyser.

The kitchenette includes a 2-plate gas stove, microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery, toaster, pots, pans, and kettle. Additional features include an electric blanket, a heater for winter, and a fan for summer. A small dining table is available for meals indoors or outside. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and rusks are provided.

Guests have access to an outdoor braai and secure covered parking for one vehicle and a caravan. The property has a pressure water system for use during municipal water outages. Children under 18 and pets are not permitted. There is no DStv, but a radio is available.

Visitors can enjoy the night sky, possible winter snow, and pear trees in bloom during spring. Nearby attractions include the region’s traditional corbelled houses and a local venue, Die Windpomp, offering refreshments and pizza. Note that Loxton has no bank or ATM, and guests must settle any outstanding accommodation balance before arrival. Fuel is only available from the cooperative during business hours. The municipal address is listed as 5 Kerk Street, but the GPS may show it as 5 Carnarvon Street.
