Description

Old Thomas River Historical Village offers unique and quality accommodation in a quaint village situated between the towns of Stutterheim and Cathcart in the Eastern Cape. This privately owned village was restored by the owners and boasts lodging, historic buildings, a restaurant, and a wedding venue all in one location.

Guests have the option of self-catering, backpacker, or room-only accommodation within the village to suit any need or budget. The Station Master's House and the Station Foreman's House are located next to each other and both offer self-catering accommodation with a capacity of 13 and 10, respectively.

The old Post Office now offers dormitory-style accommodation for up to 16 people and features a communal kitchen and a bathroom. Located near the Motor Museum, guests will find 5 flats that are available on a room-only basis and which can sleep 2 guests each.

The Ramble Restaurant and Pub offers a full menu as well as bar facilities and is a great spot for guests to unwind and enjoy meals. Guests are free to explore the private library and several museums including the Wagon Museum, Motor Museum, and the Cultural Museum in the village. A paintball arena is also available.
