Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.
House Rules
A standard key and breakage deposit is due before or at check-in. The holding amount depends on the length of stay and the standard of the apartment and may be changed at the owner’s or management’s discretion.
The holding deposit is secured through a credit card via a secure link. This is merely a hold on the amount and will be released within 14 days after checkout if no claims are reported. There will be no actual deduction from your account, so no credit will be issued. When viewing your bank statement, you will see the hold, and your available balance will be less than your actual balance. Once the hold is released, it will no longer appear, and your available balance will again correspond with your actual balance.
If a credit card is not available for the holding deposit, the deposit must be paid via EFT and reflected in our account before arrival. We will then request your bank confirmation letter to process the refund back to your account.
If neither of the two options above has been actioned, a refundable cash or debit card payment must be made before check-in can be completed. A minimum fee of R150 will apply for processing the refund. Please note that no cash refunds will be allowed.
Deposits will be refunded within 14 days after checkout, provided everything is in order.
The purpose of the holding deposit is to cover any incidentals including, but not limited to, lost or broken keys, damages to the property, stained or badly soiled linen, excessively dirty apartment, noise complaints, or any breach of house rules.
All guests are personally met to complete the check-in process, which is scheduled by the hour in advance on a first-come, first-served basis between 14:00 and 18:00. As multiple properties are managed and the team is not based on-site, accommodating specific preferred times may not always be possible; however, every effort will be made to meet guest preferences. Please note that for check-ins after 18:00, an additional fee is payable upon arrival before keys are handed over.
The original credit card used to make the reservation, along with valid identification of the cardholder, must be presented upon check-in.
No keys will be handed over without these requirements being met.
