Description

Osfontein Antieke Klip Guesthouses and Treehouse is situated on a farm in the Karoo town of Carnarvon. The farm features some of the first houses built in the early 1800s by the Voortrekkers. Due to a shortage of building materials, the houses were built entirely from stone, including the roofs, providing good insulation to keep warm in winter and cool in summer. These restored houses offer guests the experience of a bygone era.

Accommodation consists of 2 stone houses, each suitable for 5 guests, as well as a unique treehouse near the swimming pool that can accommodate 2 guests in a safari-style tent. The houses and the tent are equipped for self-catering with kitchens and braai facilities, and all units have electricity for charging devices.

Guests have access to a swimming pool, and well-trained dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

Activities on the farm include walking, mountain biking, and 4x4 trails. Guests can enjoy the Karoo views during the day and the clear night sky from the property.
