Description

Situated on the banks of the Houtbosloop River, Pecan Hut offers 3 cosy stone cottages with lovely warm features and could be an ideal option for a romantic getaway. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of the Sudwala caves and the Mankele campsite.

The first and second cottages can comfortably accommodate 2 guests each. These cottages are furnished with double beds. Each cottage includes a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The spacious bedrooms are furnished with a double bed, and the bathrooms are fitted with a shower, washbasin, and toilet. The third cottage accommodates 4 guests and is furnished with a queen-size bed and a bunk bed. All linen and bath towels are provided.

The living area features a kitchenette equipped with a 2-plate gas stove, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Leading from the kitchenette is a cosy lounge with comfy seating and a fireplace, which is an ideal spot to read a book.

Outside, there is a covered patio with outdoor seating and a built-in braai where guests can enjoy a sundowner while the fire is burning. Guests can enjoy on-site activities such as bird watching, hiking and swimming in the river at their own risk.

Activities nearby include the Sudwala Lodge and Caves, Mankele Campsite, which has a variety of adrenaline activities, cycling and mountain biking. Guests receive discounts at the Sudwala Caves and the zipline, as well as free entry to Sudwala Lodge and Mankele Campsite. The location of this property is 80 km from the Kruger National Park, as well as 30 km from Sabie and Nelspruit and is located on the Panorama Route.
