Just calm down! It's lovely and quiet here even though you're very close to the main road. Although the facilities are old, they are in line with the amount being charged. Appreciate the messages from the owner about what to do upon arrival, so you can come in and leave undisturbed.

Overnight near Bloem. Places need a little attention, but we can see it is being done. Clean and tidy and very nice by the river. Peaceful and quiet, but not too far from the N1. This was our second time at River of Joy and a nice overnight stop on the long road. Not too expensive either.

Comfortable, homely, relaxing, neat, clean. Bertha was always considerate and accommodating to our unique circumstances and time constraints. We slept warm, the kids had a great time playing outside during the times we were at the guesthouse. We were able to come and go as our schedule required without any hassle.

Quiet, quiet. Perfect stopover between Cape Town and Gauteng. Peaceful, quiet, and everything we needed was available. And so close to the N1.

We arrived late and left early. Adequate as a place to stay overnight. Was adequate for what we were looking for.
