House Rules
Reception hours: 07:00–19:00 (Mon–Thu) and 07:00–20:00 (Fri–Sun).
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Strictly non-smoking inside the cottage.
Please refrain from feeding the owner's pets or cattle.
Keep windows closed when out to prevent baboon entry.
Do not leave the fireplace unattended with burning logs.
Breakages must be reported to reception immediately.
No motorbikes may be started, ridden, or revved on the premises at any time.
No music is allowed via car radios or any other devices.
Please keep noise levels low before 07:00 or after 22:00.
Proof of identification is required on arrival.
Free Wi-Fi is available at the on-site restaurant and bar (100 m from the unit). No TV or Wi-Fi in the unit.
Private wood-fired hot tub available, arrange with reception in advance (earliest use from 11:00).
The swimming pool at the main lodge (200 m away) is shared with other guests.
Lodge is in a remote rural location, and cell phone reception may be limited.
Gravel farm track to the cottage; slippery in the rainy season. Two farm gates en route must be closed after passing through.
The property uses solar power with limited battery backup at night.
Hiking trails into Drakensberg Park start from here — enquire at reception for permits and maps.
Late arrivals after 19:00 will find a note and map at reception; no escort to the cottage is available after this time.
