Description

Stellenbosch Cottage is a fully equipped tourist cottage with solar energy back-up to support guests through loadshedding. The two-bedroom house is in suburban Stellenbosch, 1.6 km from Dorp Street. The cottage is a freestanding house on its own private plot with an enclosed garden. It has air conditioning, Netflix, the full DStv bouquet on a smart TV and free unlimited fibre Wi-Fi.

The main bedroom has an extra-length queen-sized bed, television and small en-suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has two single beds and the family bathroom features a shower and bath. There is an open plan living/dining area and in the kitchen a washing machine and tumble dryer are provided, as well as oven, stove, fridge, and a dishwasher. The cottage has an enclosed back garden with outdoor barbeque and outdoor dining area. The house has a small single garage and secure off-street parking. Large vehicles may not fit comfortably inside the garage, but can park in front of the garage inside the security gate.

Linen, towels, clothes hangers, ironing facilities and guest amenities are provided.

Loadshedding: The national electricity grid is under pressure and each municipal area has planned outages. At Stellenbosch Cottage there is a backup system to keep the lights and most of the plugs working during loadshedding. This excludes only the heaviest appliances: oven, stove, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and air conditioners.
