Description

Sweetfontein Boutique Farm Lodge is a working sheep and goat farm located in the upper Karoo region along the N10. The lodge offers travellers, holidaymakers and wildlife enthusiasts comfortably furnished rooms 25 km from Britstown, and 35 km from De Aar.

The lodge offers guests a choice of executive and standard rooms that can accommodate between 2 to 5 people. The rooms are furnished with comfortable beds, and each room has an en-suite bathroom. For convenience, warm blankets and electric blankets are provided. Each of the air-conditioned rooms is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, a bar fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and free Wi-Fi.

Guests can relax in the cosy living room which has a fireplace, or on the porch overlooking the farm with a sundowner. A swimming pool is available for use on hot days, and secure parking is provided. Smoking is not allowed in the lodge, and only in designated outside areas.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at an additional cost, and Sweetfontein Boutique Farm Lodge prides itself on its authentic Karoo dishes, from lamb shanks to mutton tails, or the so-called “skaapstertjies”. The farm also offers a variety of biking and hiking trails.
