Weekend away. We spent the weekend here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was everything we hoped for. The cottage is perfectly appointed. Sublime! We had the best time ever. The bath was put to great use! Town is so close with good amenities. We regretted shopping in Joburg before we left as there are so many delis and butcheries, and the local shop has good veggies. The host was amazing. I left my denim jacket, and they are making a plan to get it to me before we leave SA. What you don't read about is that in the vlei in front of the house, you get to see black wildebeest, zebra, reedbuck, and hartebeest every day. We would do the normal touristy stuff, then have a leisurely lunch and a snack at home for dinner. Highly recommend the Mayflower. Had several lunches there. A big thank you for a wonderful stay. Next time we will stay longer!
