Lovely venue for large groups. Claire went out of her way for us during our stay. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. What a stunning location too. Our only difficulties were that the lighting in the communal area at the stables is not sufficient for cooking and meal prep, the oven is tricky to get working, and that we had little to no hot water during the weekend. But the space is exceptional and really awesome for large groups of people.

Fantastic getaway! I would recommend The Red Barn to anyone. We stayed in the Stables - it's good to know in advance that the rooms are a distance (about 80m) from the kitchen/lounge/braai area. It's a lovely lounge area with plenty of space and the most beautiful view. The kitchen is spotless and very well equipped and there is an indoor and outdoor braai with a fireplace inside which is lovely in the winter. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have the nicest bedding and beds. Each room also has a fireplace and there is enough firewood for a whole weekend for all the fireplaces. The gravel road is a bit rough, but only a short distance. We will definitely come again!
