House Rules

Guests shall be held directly liable for any damage to, or loss of, property occurring during their stay. The cost of repairs, replacements, or associated expenses will be recovered from the guest and may, at the property owner’s discretion, be deducted from the applicable breakage deposit. Neither LekkeSlaap nor the property owner accepts any liability for the loss, theft, or damage of guests’ personal belongings. Guests are solely responsible for securing and safeguarding their own valuables. The property owner’s terms and conditions shall govern the handling and recovery of all damages, losses, and associated claims. To ensure a comfortable and respectful stay for you and future guests, please read and follow the house rules below.

By staying at The Urban Elm Guesthouse, you agree to abide by the below house rules, Local laws and regulations, and Lekkerslaap Guest Standards:

No Smoking and/or Vaping.
Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors. Please utilise the designated / demarcated outdoor smoking area, behind the building and dispose of cigarette butts appropriately, in the ashtray provided.

Parties, events, or large gatherings are strictly prohibited.
Quiet hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Please keep noise to a minimum, especially at night.

Only the guests listed in the booking are allowed to stay overnight. Please request permission for any visitors.

Treat the home as you would your own.
Wash dishes after use and keep the space tidy.
Report any accidental damage immediately.
Please switch off all lights and electrical appliances when not in use and/or before vacating the property.

Please utilise the waste bins provided at the back of the Property, behind the Guesthouse.
Accidental Damage and Damage to property caused by Bodily Fluids
If any bedding, furniture, flooring, or any other property is soiled or damaged by bodily fluids (including but not limited to vomit, urine, blood, or faeces), a deep cleaning or replacement fee will be charged.

Pets are not allowed.

Please do not move furniture and/or artwork.
No eating or drinking in the bedrooms.

Lock all doors and windows before you depart from the property.

Do not share access codes or keys with anyone outside your group.

An additional fee will be charged for the replacement of any lost or stolen Guesthouse keys / Remote Controls

Free Wi-Fi is available.
Please do not use it for illegal activity or excessive downloading/streaming.

Failure to follow these rules may result in:
Immediate cancellation of your stay without refund
Extra charges will be levied where deep cleaning is required
Reporting to Lekkeslaap may affect your account standing and reputation.

Cleaning & Laundry Services:
For long Stay Guests, Full cleaning and laundry services are available, only upon request, at an additional fee per day.
