Tierra Pequena is a 2-hectare equestrian estate situated in Baillie Park, Potchefstroom, just five minutes from the Mooiriver Mall, 10 minutes from the athletics stadium, and 15 minutes from the University of the North West.
The establishment offers 4 individually decorated rooms, 1 self-catering bachelor’s flat, 1 self-catering 2-bedroom apartment, and 1 self-catering 3-bedroom house. The rooms have been furnished with carefully selected quality furniture and beds. Each air-conditioned room includes a fully equipped kitchenette; however, no cooking facilities are available in the guest house rooms. A light in-room breakfast is provided, with an alternative hot breakfast available at an additional cost.
The Horseman Cottage is a 2-bedroom family apartment featuring a private entrance and undercover parking adjacent to the unit. It boasts its own garden with braai facilities. This self-catering unit can accommodate four adults and one child.
The Paddock is a modern bachelor’s apartment with a private entrance and undercover parking right next to the unit. It includes an enclosed, pet-friendly garden with braai facilities. The Paddock is self-catering and can sleep 2 adults and 1 child. It overlooks the stables and horse paddocks from the stoep, where guests can enjoy their early morning coffee.
At the Stables is 1 of the 5 original farmhouses of the greater Vyfhoek farm, built in 1893. It has been carefully renovated and furnished predominantly with antique furniture to reflect the farm lifestyle of the previous century. The farmhouse offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms, is self-catering, and accommodates 6 guests. It is pet-friendly, with its own enclosed garden and braai facilities. Situated near the stables and separate from the guest house, it overlooks the stables and dressage arena.
The estate also offers a swimming pool, an undercover patio area with braai facilities, crockery, cutlery, and a basin. Guests may relax in the common lounge, which features a mini library for readers.
A safe environment is ensured by a two-metre high electric fence with remote-controlled gates, and undercover parking is available away from the gate entrance.
Horses are occasionally kept on the estate but are not available for guest use. Rabbits, chickens, and abundant birdlife roam the extensive gardens. Tierra Pequena is ideal for those who love nature, birdsong, tranquillity, and warm hospitality.
