Calm, beautiful and charming. Our overnight stay was excellent! The tranquility of the place makes you calm and enhances your experience. Very spacious rooms and neat facilities. The kitchen is well equipped and the fireplace in the front room is definitely inviting. We enjoyed our cup of coffee in the morning on the deck. We will be back!

Serene and peaceful. A superb setting in nature. I stayed in the property called Grace. It is a cool retro 70's style caravan setup with a stoep as large as the floorspace of the inside! Perfect to stay at to experience the famous Hemel-and-Aarde sunset rolling mist banks or an early morning view of the baboons playing in the distance. Can recommend indeed and will go back any day for the tranquility.

Love the valley, enjoyed our stay, would try a different cottage next time. We all enjoyed our stay at Volmoed. Oak Cottage was beautifully clean and well furnished. The cottage could do with some additional cutlery. The view from the cottage, whilst good, did not quite capture the magnificence of Hemel en Aarde valley. The gas heated hot water/shower system was rather dangerous - my wife got a little scalded. I thought the request to wash dishes on the final day of departure was not equated to the price per night.
