Description

Welbedacht Game and Nature Reserve is an idyllic country retreat situated in the Tulbagh Valley, just over an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Enjoy game viewing, walking the nature trails, exploring the reserve, biking, hiking, and swimming in the dam as well as an abundance of bird- and plant life.

Accommodation is offered in self-catering cottages, tucked away among pine trees and fynbos, and situated in a natural and tranquil environment. These cottages are all well-spaced for privacy and have shaded verandahs with mountain water plunge pools, indoor log fireplaces, and built-in braai facilities outside. All linen, towels, and firewood are provided.

Close by are guided horse trails that meander through orchards and vineyards as well as venues for wine and olive tasting. While here, explore the historic town of Tulbagh with its beautiful architecture and a range of restaurants and vineyards.

With its spectacular valley views and the majestic surrounding mountains, a visit to Welbedacht is bound to be a memorable and relaxing experience.
