"The town has ample eateries for most tastes. It's literally on the doorstep from Lesotho border. It gives that lovely laid back feeling of the days when crime didn't exist. Great place for families when just wanna chill before venturing into Lesotho."

"The views in the area are breathtaking and the staff at Monks Cowel are very friendly and helpful. However Champagne Castle Hotel and Resort were very disappointing. We stayed about 2 km away and asked at the gate if we could be let in to spend some money over the bar for a few drinks and the gate guard rudely pointed to a sign saying "residents only". He did not even speak to us."

Bellevue Berg Cottage"In Winterton sowel as Bergville is daar winkels waar alles benodig vir selfversorging gekoop kan word. Daar is verskeie koffiewinkels in die omgewing en die paaie is in ’n redelike toestand - so hier en daar ’n slaggat of twee."
"Witsieshoek-stap tot bo op die berg is baie goed uitgelê. Chain ladder tot bo is dalk nie vir almal moontlik nie. So 25 meter lank."
