Guesthouse with breathtaking views. Hostess has already prepared wood, sugar, fresh milk and water for us. The accommodation is absolutely value for money. I would only suggest that they put another door in the one leading to the bathroom, not pleasant to go through the other room all the time just to use the bathroom. Would definitely recommend and will book there again in the future. Everything in the kitchen was perfect.

Spacious, fully furnished and very peaceful. The guesthouse is very fully furnished, spacious enough and has everything you need. It was a cold weekend and there were enough blankets and two heaters. It is very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend the guesthouse anytime. It is much cheaper and better than places in Clarens and from Fouriesburg every place in the Eastern Free State is close.

Very well. This is the second time we have stayed here and had a wonderful stay. The owner could just consider replacing the electrical appliances in the kitchen. The frying pan did not work. Everything else was 100%. Wood was also put out for us to have a nice braai. We will stay here again.

We had a nice barbecue, the kitchen utensils were nice. Coffee, tea and biscuits were available. The facility was perfect for our purpose. Just wanted to spend 1 night to be closer to the Caledonspoort Border Post of Lesotho.

Great stay at 12 @ Kommandant. We had a very nice stay. The place was neat. Hostess put out enough wood for the fireplace on this very cold weekend with snow. It was so cozy with the fireplace in the little kitchen while you were cooking and also when you were snuggly lying in your bed. Nicely showered and bathed with enough hot water. Although there is no TV, we were able to stream on our phone with fast WiFi which gave no problems. We will stay here again if we want to explore Clarens and surroundings. Just 35 km from Clarens and out of the hustle and bustle of Clarens.

Was suitable for our purpose for 1 night overnight stay. Neatly furnished with tea, coffee and milk. Modern bathroom with a jojo tank water. Detached braai. Sleeping space for 4 people (2× double beds). Detached apartment from main house, separate plot behind. Efficient for overnight stay. Country feel.

Very friendly welcome and tidy. Will definitely stay there again. Comfortable homely accommodation.
