Price Includes

Rates displayed are on a self-catering basis with heat-and-eat facilities. The facilities include a microwave.

House Rules

No smoking zone except for the car park.

The cost for the replacement of a room key will be R50 and damage to door locks will be charged at an amount of R300 (to be paid before departure).

Smoking is completely forbidden inside the cottage, the patio and fire-pit area, as well as around the swimming pool. You are welcome to smoke in the car park. Please use the ashtray placed by die steps leading from the car park. ALL other areas are smoke free zones.

In order to be water wise and environmentally friendly, we request that you hang up your towels after use as fresh towels will only be supplied should you be staying for 4 nights or longer. As we respect your privacy, we will only be cleaning/refreshing the interior of the cottage on departure or if requested with us directly.
Should you require fresh towels, bedding or cleaning material, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will service the room between 11h00 and 14h00. Please do not wash any dirty dishes in the bathroom sink. Dirty dishes to be left on the table by the pool deck and we will wash and return it on a daily basis.
Should you break anything inside the cottage or any of the equipment is faulty, please report it to us immediately. No items to be removed from the Cottage at any time. Please do not use any flammables in the cottage, including candles. No guests are allowed to have friends/family/visitors use any of the facilities on the property, including the swimming pool, as it is solely for the use of paying guests. No visitors are allowed between 20h00 and 08h00.

The owners cannot be held responsible for lost items. Please always lock the cottage door when leaving the premises. A safe is provided in the cottage as well. Although the owners take responsible steps to ensure the safety and security of guests and their possessions, guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security.

A fire extinguisher is provided in the cottage for the use of a fire emergency. In the event of a fire or an emergency, guests are to evacuate the cottage immediately and move to the parking area until it is safe to return.

Guests are welcome to use the ceiling fan and aircon when needed. Please note the aircon uses a lot of electricity and will drain the solar system when used recklessly.

No cigarette butts, cotton buds, tampons, sanitary pads or any other material (other than toilet paper), may be flushed down the toilet. Charges will occur for any blockages caused by these items. Hot water is supplied by a gas geyser, and it is therefore best to open the taps fully and then pushing the mixer back a little bit to optimize the temperature and flow of hot water to the basin and shower. The toiletries are supplied for your convenience and use while you are a guest at Almond Cottage. Please do not remove them from the bathroom on departure. Pool towels are provided and placed in the bathroom. Please do not leave them in the sun or on the sun loungers when not using them.

Free parking is available inside the property on the gravel section for Almond Cottage guests only. Park at own risk. Please do not park in front of the electric motor gate, in the driveway or in front of the garage. Do not leave any valuables inside your car while parked on the property and ensure that vehicle is always locked. The owners of Almond Cottage cannot accept responsibility for the loss or theft of any such articles while your car is parked. Should the remote for the electric gate fail to operate, please ask us for a replacement. We also ask that you ensure the gate is closed when leaving and arriving during your stay.

Paying guests of Almond Cottage are welcome to use the swimming pool and pool deck area. The rest of the property is private and for sole use of the owners. For your own safety, please refrain from diving or jumping into the pool. The pool does not have a deep end. Please mind the 2nd step as it is quite deep when entering/exiting the pool. No music is allowed, whether it is a radio, TV, cell phone, portable or car stereos, any musical instrument or any source of amplified music shall be played at a volume that disturbs or annoys the owners or the neighbors. Only charcoal to be used in the fire-pit. Please limit any noise between the hours of 21h00 and 08h00. Kindly note that if circumstances so require, we reserve the right of admission.
