Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R4000 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Baleia Azul 11 requires a 4x4 vehicle to access the property due to sandy roads. Guests must obtain an entry and exit permit at the estate gate and return it upon departure. A public launch site is available nearby.

The house has a septic tank, so only single-ply toilet paper may be flushed. The swimming pool has no safety features, and all use of the pool and associated amenities is at guests’ own risk.

A generator is available in case of power outages. Fuel is not provided but can be purchased locally. Canisters for fuel storage are available at the property.

Guests are advised to bring beach towels, personal toiletries, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, washing powder, food and drinks, ice, drinking water, beach equipment, and items of a personal nature. Charcoal and fire starters for the built-in braai facilities are also required.

Anna, the housekeeper, is responsible for cleaning, making beds, and washing dishes. Absa, the gardener, manages the braai area, garden, and general maintenance. If more than 10 guests are staying, an additional housekeeper may be provided. Staff working hours are weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00 and weekends and public holidays from 08:00 to 14:00. On Christmas Day, staff will attend for a maximum of 2 hours in the morning if necessary. There is a compulsory, daily staff tip of R80 per staff member per day payable in cash, this includes your day of arrival and departure.

Laundry services are available on request and can be arranged directly with Anna. Any additional services beyond standard duties may be negotiated directly with the staff.

Guests must provide a refundable breakage deposit, which will be refunded after departure. Late check-out is available on request, subject to availability. Check-out must be completed by 15:00 unless otherwise agreed.

No pets are permitted, and loud music, parties, or functions are not allowed. Estate rules require that noise levels be kept low after 22:30. Non-compliance may result in loss of the breakage deposit and possible eviction.

Should the property be booked by a group of younger guests, no one under 25 may stay without parental or adult supervision.
